Desiree: If you don't already have plans for Gabriel's Spring Break (March 8 - 16), and if he's interested, is there any possibility that he, and yourself and Sage if you have nothing better to do, might want to come to Vancouver for a few days? I will cover the cost of the flights and hotel room. Fox

Desiree: Further to my invitation, last night, to come to Vancouver during Gabriel's Spring Break, I would like to assure you there are no ulterior motives. My primary interest, obviously, is to give Gabriel the opportunity to see Vancouver when it's not the shitty winter/rainy season and Stanley Park is blossoming. I admit, part of the reason I extended the offer is I don't think you'll accept it; and the remainder of the reason is I would like to see you under less hostile circumstances than we've had over the past few years. So sorry - been out of it for a couple days; we all got pretty sick (flu I think). I greatly appreciate the offer and it is very generous. I wouldn't feel comfortable accepting but I have no problem with him going up there for spring break. I trust you will send him back - we have to go for the child interview shortly after.
I believe his spring break begins on March 8th. The hearing is on March 7th. So, it would be right after the hearing.
Right - sorry, I've been running 101 temp fever for the past 2 days...still a little out of it.
Could you try to get the plane ticket toward the afternoon if it's on the 8th? We will be driving back from California on the 7th after the hearing. I suppose there is a possibility of you getting the ticket out of California, but I would be more comfortable sending him from Phoenix. Besides - he'll have to pack :-)
I could do that, but I would think from Gabriel's perspective it would be desirable to just fly from LA, rather than driving all the way back to Phoenix first. Should I defer to him on it or is your question actually a statement?
But then I wouldn't have my driving buddy with me...that would make for a long lonely drive back to Phoenix...
Okay, but I'm not sure if you phrased your expression as a question deliberately or if it was really meant to be a statement, which you thought might be more polite if phrased as a question. I'm referring to the following: "Could you try to get the plane ticket toward the afternoon if it's on the 8th?" Are you saying that you want me to obtain a ticket for Saturday afternoon, or are you asking whether I have the capability to do so? I'm not being sarcastic. Fox
Again - bare with me, I am sick and on medicine - this is part of the reason I didn't respond sooner. It was an unformed though as it had just occurred to me that I would driving back with him the day before you would want to fly him up. The question came in since I wasn't sure if Saturday the 8th would in fact be the day he would fly (I figured it would be but wasn't certain). If that was the day he was to go to Canada, then I was hoping you would be willing to get an afternoon flight. I hope that makes sense.
I personally don't care whether he would fly on Friday or Saturday - it really doesn't affect me in any way. He just told me, on the phone, that he would like to fly Saturday, though, so I'll get a ticket for then. Please let me when you would like him returned. Also, if you change your mind about coming please give me at least a few week's notice so I can find you a decent hotel room, rental car, and all that crap. Fox
Saturday to Saturday should be fine. I can even pick him up late on Saturday the 15th so you have the morning, 9 or 10 or whatever - I'm close to the airport. If I change my mind I will make sure to give you plenty of notice. Thanks.
